Every walk begins and ends in Noe — so the hour is spent moving, sniffing, socializing and settling into a familiar rhythm, not idling in traffic. We just take the scenic route home. Close isn't a limitation. Close is the whole point.

Pay yearly and two months are on us — the same care, with the calm of a settled routine and a founding rate you keep for as long as you're a member.
Membership is subject to a temperament assessment, group compatibility and route capacity. Weekdays are confirmed at assessment. A private walk, by exception, is $65 — most dogs are far happier, and better off, in their small standing group. Prices are founding-launch rates and may rise for later members.
Good care is specific.

Before joining, each dog completes a temperament and handling assessment. We document commands, triggers, preferences, medical needs, home access and emergency contacts — then we match, carefully. Good care isn't a promise. It's a procedure.

I'm Daniel. I live one hill over in Bernal with Luka, a husky who has never once agreed that a walk was long enough. That's where the name came from, and honestly where the whole idea started.
I fell for this neighborhood the way most people do — slowly, and on foot. The fog coming over the hill in the morning. The steps that turn a ten-minute walk into forty. Learning which dog belonged to which stoop long before I knew any of the neighbors' names. Bernal is a place where you meet the dogs first, and that suits me exactly.
My reason for doing this is simple, and a little embarrassing: I'm in it for the wags. The delighted one at the door when you turn up. And then the better one an hour later — slower, heavier, thoroughly pleased with itself — when a dog has had a proper walk and is home and ready to sleep it off. That second wag is the entire product.
If we haven't met yet, we probably will. I'm on the hill most mornings.

Luka is a husky, which means he has never in his life conceded that a walk was long enough. Every route in each neighborhood's first group gets walked by him first — thoroughly, and with opinions.
He's six. He came home at eight weeks old in 2020, which makes him a pandemic dog: he spent his entire puppyhood with someone home all day, and he has never quite forgiven the world for going back to the office. If you have one of those dogs too, you already understand why this club exists.
His bandana says wag more, bark less. He treats it as a suggestion.
Luka doesn't walk with member groups — he's strictly supervisory — but there's a good chance you'll meet him on the hill.

Why only three dogs?
Three is the size at which one person can genuinely watch every dog, keep the walk calm, and still give real attention. It's a deliberate quality choice — smaller groups mean safer walks and a better hour. It's also the honest math of the price: a group of three is how a private-quality hour becomes something three households sharefor your dog.
Where exactly do you serve?
The first Noe Valley cell is intentionally limited to a compact area around the 24th Street corridor. Applications just outside the active route are held for the next cell as density builds — so it's always worth applying. Founding is also open in Bernal Heights and Potrero Hill — each neighborhood opens as its first group of three compatible dogs comes together.
Is my dog eligible?
Most social, walkable dogs are. Membership depends on safe handling, group compatibility and route fit. Some dogs are happier with private care — and we'll say so honestly rather than force a poor match.
We have two dogs — can they both join?
If both pass the assessment, happily — they'd hold two of their group's three places, walk together every time, and share one pickup at one door. Two-dog households get a household rate; we'll cover it at the assessment.
What if I need to cancel or pause?
Membership reserves real capacity, so we ask for 30 days' notice after your initial term, and include one planned pause each year. If we ever cancel a walk, you're automatically credited.
Are the walks off leash?
No. The service is built around calm, on-leash neighborhood walks. Any future off-leash option would require separate assessment, permissions and procedures — we won't improvise with your dog's safety.
What happens if my walker is out?
Every group has a trained backup who already knows your dog, the route, your home-access procedure and the care notes. Consistency doesn't disappear when someone takes a day off.
How do I start?
Apply in about three minutes, then we schedule a complimentary home-and-handling assessment — I come to you, meet your dog, and we talk it through. If it's a good fit, your first month starts your membership and locks your founding rate. It's an application, not an instant booking.
What if it isn't right once we start?
Then you shouldn't be paying for it. If the first two weeks aren't working — for your dog or for you — tell me and I'll refund the balance of the month, no argument and no exit interview. I'd rather you leave easily than stay unhappily, and I'd rather find out early that a group isn't right for your dog than have you discover it slowly.
